FAQ's About Our College Counseling Services
What does a private college counselor do?
A private counselor helps students navigate the entire college planning journey, from exploring majors and building a balanced college list, to managing deadlines, building a strong resume, brainstorming and reviewing essays, and preparing for admissions decisions. The goal is to help each student find colleges that are the right-fit academically, socially, and financially.
What is the difference between a school counselor and a private college counselor?
High school counselors play an essential role in supporting students’ postsecondary goals. Because they often serve large student populations their time for individualized college planning may be limited. Private college counselors complement their support by offering one-on-one guidance, flexible availability, and dedicated assistance throughout the college research, planning, application, and decision process.
Do you work with students outside Florida?
Yes! While we are based in Palm Beach County, Florida, we work with students and families anywhere, all of our guidance is provided online, so location is never a barrier to getting started.
When should we start working with a counselor?
The earlier, the better. Many families begin as early as 9th grade to build a strong foundation, but we also work with juniors, seniors, and transfer students who need focused, timely support, wherever your student is in the process.
What's included in a consultation?
Your free 30-minute consultation gives us a chance to learn about your student's goals, answer your questions, and walk you through how we can support your family, so we can both decide if we are the right fit before making any commitment.
