Majella McNamara

Majella is a certified college counselor who consults with families and college-bound students as they face the challenges of applying to and selecting the right fit college. She provides personalized and confidential one-on-one counseling through the college search, preparation, application, transfer, and admissions process.

Qualifications

She earned her Certification in College Counseling with Distinction from UCLA, with her practicum completed at a private high school in Florida.

Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership from Palm Beach Atlantic University.

Master's Certification in Project Management from George Washington University.

Bachelor's Degree in Business - Organizational Management from Palm Beach Atlantic University.

Prior to founding Guide2College, Majella worked with Fortune 500 companies as an Information Technology Data Center Manager and Project Manager. These leadership roles provided her the opportunity to gain great insight into various careers and perform career planning, training, and advancement opportunities for team members within Motorola, Siemens, and American Express.

Team South Florida

Majella has had the pleasure of scheduling and accompanying "Team South Florida" hockey team on college tours in 2016 to Robert Morris University, 2017 to Duquesne University, and scheduling the 2021, 2022, and 2023 tours of Lindenwood University, in conjunction with the Florida Panthers Scholastic Hockey League (FPSHL).

Leadership Academy

Majella actively volunteers in the community as the Director of the Florida Panthers Scholastic Hockey League (FPSHL) Leadership Academy since its inception in 2016. She provides student-athletes and student team managers with insight into the key characteristics of effective leaders, explores the impact of leadership within business and the community, and provides college and career planning at each meeting.
